4th Workington (St Michael's) Guides and Scouts

All sections meet during school term times in our purpose built headquarters on Fletcher Street which is approximately 150 metres from our church. Our headquarters comprises on the ground floor both girls and boys toilets, a kitchen, a meeting room, a climbing wall and an equipment store. On the first floor is our main meeting room, on the landing an escape hatch from the climbing wall and a 'ladderway' to a small meeting room above. We also have an additional large garage, overlooked by our church, which can not be used for meetings but houses our minibus, trailers, canoes and 'bits and pieces'.

Meetings: are only held during school terms but there are occasions when the building may be open for functions and training courses.

MONDAY:
Beavers - (6 to 8 years) from 5.30pm to 6.30pm

There is no joining fee but each member is expected to subscribe £10.00 per half term in advance (£1.50 per week) to pay for the maintenance and service costs for our building, minibus and trailers, affiliations fees to the respective national bodies (Guide and Scout Associations), the purchase of resources, equipment and badges. Some visits are included in this subscription but uniforms, camps and other requirements/visits may be extra.
